The Seven  Chakras

Root
| Sacral | Solar Plexus | Heart | Throat | Third Eye | Crown

Chakras are energy centers in our bodies.

We all have hundreds of chakras around and within our body. The 7 chakras that affect our daily life are the major chakras we will be focusing on. Each chakra has its own colour and purpose.

Chakra means wheel. Our chakras continually spin according to vibration frequencies unique to our own bodies and energy centers.

All the Chakras are said to revolve, but the rate at which they spin is proportionate to the amount of energy in the system (i.e. the degree to which they are awakened). When our chakras are in perfect alignment they resemble "wheels of spinning light".

Like everything in the world, these energy centers are expressed through light, sound and colour. It is very important to know that we can truly heal ourselves by aligning or bringing our chakra energy centers into exact balance.

We are alive because of life force energy. Life force energy flows within the physical body through pathways called chakra.

Chakras are connected:

Through our thinking of what thoughts we have of ourselves and others. Also how we think others think of us.

Through our feelings emotionally, physically, inside and out through how our body feels (happy or comfortable or uncomfortable) of ourselves and others. As well as how we feel others feel about us.

Through our breath (beautiful positive words or affirmations breathed into our body.

Through sight (vision) of our interpretation of things we see.

Through our voice of how we speak about ourselves and others.

Through our hearing of our interpretation of things we hear.

How we react or respond all play a factor as well in what working order our chakras are in.

Our chakras respond to us uniquely.

Chakras are filled with beliefs. It is wonderful to clear our chakras and start fresh and clear and free…

Life is energy and the chakras are energy. Chakras are spinning vortexes of subtle energy located along from the base of the spine to the crown. Each one of our seven main chakras offers a different perspective of life or any given situation. The same issue, experienced or interpreted from different levels of consciousness, takes on new meanings. Chakras are energy vortexes located throughout our body which regulate the flow of energy through our energy system. The functioning of the chakras reflects how we choose to respond to conditions in our life. We open, speed up, and close, slow down our chakras when we decide what to think and what to feel and what we say and hear. Understanding of the chakra points and energy pathways opens the door to higher consciousness and vast improvements in all areas of our life.

If we are not aware of our chakras, they operate on a subconscious level. If a person has no concept whatsoever of anything beyond the material level the chakras can be said to be dormant, they hardly rotate at all. When we start to question who we are, what our purpose is, and begin to consciously develop our divine nature, the chakras quicken, become active and our spiritual mind, heart and will start to develop.

Chakras spin in a clockwise direction. Our lower Chakras spin slower than our upper chakras. The root chakra is the slowest chakra and increases frequency when it moves upwards to the crown chakra. Like musical notes going up the scale or the colors of the rainbow from red to violet. The faster the chakra wheels spin the more energy they can receive and transmit.

Imbalanced chakras can affect our life. They are the awakening and balancing of our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual energies. Our state of health and wellbeing are stronger when the energy flows freely within us. We need to shift our focus from a problem mindset to a positive one. This will help realign our inner energy or chakra that is causing the imbalance.

Chakra knowledge can be integrated into any health regimen, any religious practice, and any spiritual study. Begin reaping the immense rewards this ancient and beautiful knowledge has to offer.

When a lot of stale emotional energy is carried inside, we congest the chakras which are essential for our health and well-being. The energy which is blocked in the chakras, won`t be able to shift or spin. The energy of the chakras, although subtle rather than physical permeates all aspects of our life. By becoming aware of each of their influences we move our attention away from the manifest towards the energy behind the event where real change or health can occur. If we continue to remain unaware or frightened of our true feelings or emotions giving ourselves permission to feel what is going on within us creates the possibility of shifting our energy centers and allowing new, vital energy to change our lives. Feeling our emotions frees us to be ourselves, which is essential to our well-being.

If the lower chakras are blocked, however then the universal energy is blocked from ascending and these energetic blockages begin to manifest as “dis-ease” on mental, emotional and physical levels. In other words, if we have blockages in any of the chakras it means we have broken our alignment with universal life force energy on a subtle, or not so subtle, level.

Any thought, word, action or feeling of fear, worry, judgement, anger or jealousy produce negative energy and will cause blockages within our chakras. Replace our words, thoughts, feelings and actions with positive ones to help clear blockages that will produce inner health and wellbeing.

Each chakra is responsible for the health of the organs and glands in its region and also responsible for unique personality traits and characteristics. If we are experiencing any physical, emotional or mental upset or challenge in our life there is a high chance that one of our chakras is blocked, unclear or unbalanced. When we understand the nature of each chakra we can easily understand the source of any problems in our life. This can be the starting point for healing. Opening and balancing the chakra points, means to heal and rejuvenate the organs in the region of that chakra, and to balance the associated personality traits.

Using each specific Chakra for help with specific areas of our lives is keeping it clear and keeping it moving also.

All of our chakras affect one another and ultimately work together.

The goal for our health is strong, unblocked or balanced chakras that are spinning bright and clear. Our energy system will then be balanced and we can begin building and nourishing our bodies.

The Seven  Chakras

Root
| Sacral | Solar Plexus | Heart | Throat | Third Eye | Crown

Root Chakra (the first Chakra)

It is located at the base of the spine. A clear root chakra is a brilliant ruby red color due to its slow spinning rate. I see this as our home. It represents our foundation as well as a feeling of being grounded. Survival is the primary drive associated with this chakra, which include our food, financial independence, money, trust and stillness of the mind and body. Our root chakra is related to issues of physical security and is affected by our thoughts and feelings.

The parts of the body affected by this chakra are the lymph system, skeleton system (teeth and bones), the prostate gland in men, the bladder and elimination system, and the lower extremities (legs - feet, ankles, etc.). Also the nose since it is the organ of the sense of smell, and associated with survival. The endocrine gland associated with this chakra is the adrenal glands.

· Home: where you live and your own self is home, how you are treating you, taking care of you in regards to your feelings of safety, the condition and energy of your home as well as yourself, maintaining your home and yourself, with positive words or actions and beliefs.

· Soul Desire: is to feel nourished and nurtured also to experience belonging to the whole.

· Primal Relationship: with physical reality, the Earth, natural forces, body and feeling sensations.

· Needs: are taken care of and provided for, having enough food and clothing, to manifest to meet our basic needs.

· Finances: money, bills, savings, the economy, retirement accounts.

· Career: being in the right job, making enough money, thoughts of the future.

· Possessions: vehicles, furniture.

· Physical Safety: feeling safe or unsafe.

· Spiritual Lesson - material world lessons.

· Physical Dysfunctions- lower back pain, sciatica, varicose veins, rectal tumours, depression or immune related disorders.

· With our thoughts and feelings- survival, self-esteem, social order, security and family.

· Information Stored Inside Root Chakra - familial beliefs, superstitions, loyalty, instincts, physical pleasure or pain and touch.

· The area of Body affected- spinal column, kidneys, legs, feet, rectum or immune system.

· Exercises that stimulate the root chakra–physical exercise as well as restful sleeps.

· Red foods and drink fuel the root chakra.

When our root chakra is blocked, unclear or unbalanced we frequently have colds or cold hands and feet. We feel fatigue or lower back pain. We develop greed. We do not take care of and appreciate what we already have. We also have a feeling of neediness or lack that leads us to not maintain our possessions and environment. We are stuck in an unfulfilling and unrewarding career. Money is stressful or we have trouble budgeting effectively. We feel uncomfortable in our own skin. Physically we may suffer from weight or body issues. We also feel a sense of unworthiness.

When our root chakra is unblocked, balanced or clear we experience a feeling of welcoming and security. We will feel our basic survival needs are properly functioning. This includes providing for our family, home, food as well as being able to earn money. We feel grounded and connected to mother earth.

This chakra also reflects a person's connection with their mother, and with Mother Earth. How the person feels about being on the earth and their connection with the physical body.

Healing the root chakra:

I call this our home. This chakra is our deepest connection to our body and earth. When I look inside a root chakra I see a tree, how that tree has been cared for emotionally, mentally and physically will show how the tree looks. I help nurture the tree or replace the tree. We have to take good care of ourselves inside and out. I remove what blocks I see. I take the roots of your tree and ground them into the centre of the earth. It is very stabilizing. I also plant positive seeds in your trees earth so it will also grow within you. I also will see how your feet are facing and adjust them if they need so they help you walk on your life path and so much more. I clear the chakra and then angelically pour Red into the root chakra.

When we lose our connection to the earth, we cut ourselves off from the healing source of Mother Earth. We disconnect ourselves from our ability to lovingly care for and nourish ourselves as well as to provide the physical comforts we need. When we become disconnected, we become one of life's victims. The root chakra channels the earth's energy up to our higher chakra centers and helps to ground us on the physical plane. The more we ground ourselves the greater chance we have of making our dreams real and developing into the people we would like to become.

After I have grounded myself I let the universe know what my intentions are for the day and wait to experience it with faith not fear. Be sure it is always for our highest and best good.

Sacral Chakra (the second Chakra)

It is located below the belly button. The color associated with the sacral chakra is orange. I see this as our protective area.

It is associated with our sensuality, sensitivity and sexual energy. It represents our ability to accept others and new experiences. It represents our sense of abundance, our ability to be confident and in-control to express our feelings. It represents our creativity. It is also our passion area. It is connected to our sensing abilities and issues related to feelings. It represents our ability to be social, the right to feel and intimacy issues.

If our sacral chakra is blocked, unbalanced or unclear we may suffer from low back pain, alcohol and drug abuse, asthma and allergies. We may suffer from urinary problems, eating disorders. We tend to make a big deal about minor things. We may suffer from sexual guilt or emotional problems. We struggle to see ourselves as sexy.

If our sacral chakra is unblocked, balanced or clear our creativity comes out. We may enjoy painting, writing or any form of the arts. We are in touch with our primal life force or kundalini energy. This is the fundamental electromagnetic force that animates our bodies and when freely expressed creates passion and magnetism. We are able to attract the right partners, compatible people who fill us with joy, nourish us and make us a better person. We feel confident.

Healing the sacral chakra:

When I am healing our sacral chakras I see, hear and feel things that others would not normally know about us. I remove them, heal them and clear the chakra and then angelically pour the color orange into it. When I have completed the sacral and solar plexus I put an angelic non constricting rubber corset around these chakras so that if there is anything that comes at them it bounces away to help us not let things attach to us of what others say or think or feel about us as best we can. This will protect the area against letting anyone affect us.

We are in perfect control of our own lives. We just have to realize it. We are the only ones that hold our own key.

The Solar Plexus Chakra (the third Chakra)

It is located above the belly button. The color associated with the solar plexus is Yellow. I see this as our attachment area.

It is associated with our self-confidence, self-esteem and self-worth. It is our Inner Power Centre. It gives us our sense of self-awareness and personal strength in the world. It provides us with the feelings of assertiveness or submissiveness. The exertion of authority and power over others is controlled by the solar plexus. It represents our ability to be confident and in control or our lives. It influences the activities we perform and our energy. It is also an area that we allow others to affect us. We let what others say, think and feel about us get attached to us sometimes without even realizing that we are even carrying it around and then it festers to other health issues. We are in control of what we depict of anything and everything that happens in our lives, we are able to accept or not (have it attach or not). We are in control of how we think, feel, speak, behave and react.

Unbalanced, unclear or blocked solar plexus chakras can develop nervousness, parasites, colitis, digestive problems, constipation or diabetes. We tend to become obsessive about certain areas of our lives (eg. being a workaholic.) We also make poor decisions of what best course of action for our life. We manifest apathy or anger. We develop stomach pains or stomach anxiety. We have trouble making big decisions like whether to get married, change our career, move or have children. We develop low self-esteem and low confidence by letting others affect how we feel, think, speak or what we would like to do.

Balanced, clear or unblocked solar plexus chakras aide us to spend our time on things worth doing. We are admired for our confidence and healthy self-esteem both in our personal life as well as in our careers. Family, friends, colleagues and our community see us as determined to use our charisma and power to help make the world a better place. We are using our own Personal Inner Power.

Healing the solar plexus chakra:

While healing this chakra I remove any non-beneficial attachments we carry here. This clears our power center of past attachment of what we think others say, think or feel about us. I see these as cords and remove them. I clear and remove any other attachments so we are able to enhance our Inner Power. I clear the solar plexus and then angelically pour yellow into it to power it up. After I have healed the solar plexus and sacral I put an angelic non-constricting corset around these chakras so that if there is anything that comes at us it bounces away to help keep our solar plexus clear and balance. It is recognizing what affects us and changing it.

Build our confidence and do what we feel, see and know that is right for us. Only we know what is right for us.

The Heart Chakra (the fourth Chakra)

The heart chakra is located in the center of the heart and includes the arms as they can show love or anger too. The color associated with the heart chakra is green for healing and I use pink for love as well. The purpose of the heart chakra is our emotional area. Our ability to handle issues of love, hatred, jealousy, anger, fears, grief and loneliness all depends on the condition of our heart chakra. The heart chakra represents romance, relationships and above all represents love.

When our heart chakra is blocked, unbalanced or unclear we feel fears of not being loved, fears of giving and receiving affection or relationships that are unfulfilling. We may tend to sabotage our relationship with distrust and anger. We struggle with commitment or keep ourselves guarded for fear of being hurt emotionally. We can also find it difficult to find and maintain relationships and friendships.

When our heart chakra is unblocked, balanced or clear we will develop emathy for our fellowman, family, work, home, community and are able to give and receive love as well as deal with friendship with ease. We will also have a lot of compassion for ourselves and others. We can also handle issues in a positive way. It generates feelings of love, caring and nurturing. We feel a great sense of gratitude.

The heart chakra is our bridge between our upper and lower chakras. This can be seen as a connection between the physical, emotional and spiritual. The heart chakra is one of the most important portals in the Reiki method for transferring certain Universal energies. If we wish to have forgiveness with someone or heal the relationship we can just vision two tubes coming from our heart chakra towards the other individual (the other individual does not have to be in the same room as us, it is all done by intent). Send green for healing and pink for love towards the others heart chakra and be sure to visualize the green and pink returned back to you. This is healing and love passed between the two of you to help heal any hurtful situation. This is a powerful method of healing our hearts. We must learn to first have love for ourselves so we can then love others.

We can also send out what we wish to attract into our lives from our heart chakra as we will be sending it out with love. What I do is send, for example, Reiki from my heart chakra like on a sonar wave out to the universe to pass and touch anyone and everyone that could use my healing to connect with me. I use this to reach around the world. We can send whatever we wish out to the universe but be specific what you would like because you will get it. If you are a handyman and would like extra work, send it out from your heart chakra to attract paying clients. If you are looking for a specific job, be specific what you are looking for and send it out from your heart chakra. The universe will respond to whatever you send it. Always ask for anything that will be for your highest and best good.

Healing the heart chakra:

When I am healing our heart chakra I remove all emotional hurts and emotional fears. I increase our hearts power with positive words. I angelically pour white into one hand and pull it through the arm and through the heart area and down the other arm and out the other hand. I do the same with the color pink for love and green for healing. We are now able to love ourselves so we can love others as well as heal ourselves so we can heal others. We can heal others with just a positive word or action.

What we do, say, think or feel about others is what will be done, thought of or felt about ourselves. Always think, feel and speak with love and healing so we will always experience it.

The Throat Chakra (the fifth Chakra)

It is located in the throat area. The color associated with the throat chakra is blue. It is associated with communication, speaking up for ourselves, speaking our truth, how we speak of ourselves and others. We develop our personal expression and the ability to create our own reality by what we say as well as the ability to express ourselves. It represents our loyalty, organization and planning. Words are energy and very powerful so be careful what we say about ourselves and others.

If our throat chakra is unbalanced, blocked or unclear we tend to get sore throats, fevers and flu, neck and shoulder problems, mood swings, infections, mouth, jaw, tongue and swollen glands. Our thyroid may become imbalanced. We develop hormonal disorders such as PMS, bloating and menopause. We believe we have nothing of value to say. We feel like nobody cares about our opinions. We are likely to be known as the "quiet one". We have a hard time speaking up for ourselves. We can talk too much and be over bearing in our speaking manor. We can also be shy. There is a disbelief in our ability to create our lives the way we want it to be. Sore throats are a result of us not speaking our truth or there is something we need to say. Once we have spoken our truth or said what we need to say our throat chakra will heal.

When our throat chakra is balanced, unblocked or clear we are able to speak our conviction, speak our truth. We are admired for our willpower and strong communication skills. Our career and personal life is enriched as a result. People hear and understand what we have to say. It is best to have a balanced, unblocked or clear throat chakra if you do public speaking. We are able to speak out how we would like things to be in our life. We should always ask for things in our highest and best good.

Singing is a healing tool to help open our throat chakra. Let us be very aware of how we are speaking. Always speak in a positive way about ourselves and others. What or how we are speaking is sent out into the universe and the universe responds to it. We get what we give out.

Healing the throat chakra:

When I am healing the throat chakra I first remove plugs from our ears so we understand everything that we hear from then on. I clear the sinuses as well. It our sinuses are clogged it is a sign that we are stifled about something. I clear and drain the sinuses. I open the throat so we can speak up for ourselves. I pour in pink for love, so we will now speak in a loving way about ourselves and others as well as green for healing, so we will speak of ourselves and others in a healing way. I make sure the tongue and teeth are working in perfect angelic order. I clear the throat chakra and then angelically pour blue into it.

The 3rd Eye Chakra (the sixth Chakra)

It is located on the forehead between the eyebrows. The color associated with the 3rd eye is indigo blue. This is our vision area. The 3rd eye chakra is considered where our intuition, psychic abilities and spirituality reside. This is the source of wisdom. It allows us to see the unseen and know the unknown. We can vision how we wish our lives to be from this area as well.

When our 3rd eye chakra is unbalanced, blocked or unclear we tend to be closed minded and have difficulty concentrating. We fear looking at ourselves, fear of using our intuitive abilities. We refuse to learn from our life’s experiences. We develop depression, learning disabilities, migraines, anxiety and sleep disorders.

When our 3rd eye chakra is balanced, unblocked or clear our spirituality will flow to us naturally. We become comfortable with ourselves. We enhance our Clairvoyance (seeing mental pictures and images), Clairsentience (the ability to feel or sense messages or guidance) and/or our Clairaudience (the ability to hear).

Healing the 3rd eye chakra:

When I first open the 3rd eye in our forehead, I make sure our 3rd eye is facing forward as well as make sure it is open. I clear it out. When I heal the 3rd eye chakra I help clients set a vision of what they wish to happen in their lives. I project this vision from our 3rd eye regarding our visions of career, love, health, happiness, success and direction and so much more. I then angelically pour indigo blue into it. We have to be specific of what we want or vision how we wish our life to be so the universe can work for our highest and best good. Always wish for our highest and best.

This is a very life changing experience and gives us great focus on our own lives. We can change things in a very positive way just by looking at things in a positive way. It is an easy and successful way of changing /improving our lives.

Crown Chakra (the seventh Chakra)

It is located at the top of our head. The color associated with the crown chakra is violet and sometimes white. The crown chakra is viewed as another point of entry of life force and represents our connection with universal consciousness. This is where life force comes into us. The crown chakra connects us with the higher realms. It is our connection to the concept of "God" or a higher intelligence. It connects us with the world and universe. This is where our personal energy can merge with the universal energy field.

The crown chakra represents our thoughts and is associated with the highest functions of the mind. Our thoughts and mind cannot be seen or felt. It creates our belief system that controls our thoughts and actions. Our crown chakra is where we are at home, feeling perfectly confident and secure. It also relates to our full awareness of our self and others. It relates to our own personal truth and wisdom.

Through the crown chakra a Reiki Master will channel the life force energy or Reiki flow into the body till it reaches our root chakra. This is a major Chi channel/flow of proper chi energy. We do not wish to close it or block it.

The crown chakra is open and connected to give and receive information. This is our true connection with the universe. This is where our higher self is which is called our soul. The higher self knows everything from the past, present and future. This is where we can also access our Akashic Records.

An unbalanced, blocked or unclear crown chakra will cause:

· Us to not to feel connected with a higher power, be it God, universal consciousness or our higher self.

· We feel alone, unworthy of spiritual help or angry that our higher self has abandoned us.

· We tend to suffer from migraines or tension headaches.

· Prevents us from being totally free from fear. Fear creates blockages.

· We tend to make poor decisions.

· Poor balance and clumsiness.

· Feeling aches and pains in our body.

· Lack of inspiration, confusion, depression.

· Paralysis, genetic disorders.

· An attempt to stop new thoughts (of self and others).

· Feeling disconnected from a sense of meaning in our lives.

· Chronic exhaustion.

· Sensitivity to light and sound.

· Right brain/left brain disorders.

· Mental illness.

· We think in a negative way about ourselves and others.

When the blocks are major we may also develop thoughts of suicide and possible cancers and major diseases. Seek professional help if you experience any of these feelings.

A balanced, unblocked or clear crown chakra will cause:

· Us to feel connected to a higher power, be it God, universal consciousness or our higher self.

· We are always reminded we are watched over.

· We feel immense gratitude for the universal love and appreciation for our self and others.

· We feel connected to the world and universe.

· We are able to make short term and long term plans and we can also handle the daily disturbances well.

· Our minds will be calm and open.

· Feeling of achievement.

· We take more care of our physical, emotional and spiritual self.

· Understanding our life path and our life purpose of why we are here.

· We will have understanding, wisdom, trust, selflessness and the ability to see the bigger picture in our spiritual life.

· We think in a positive way about ourselves and others.

Bringing balance to our crown chakra increases its strength. This strength develops a sense of peace and harmony within our self. We have enhanced creativity. Raising our crown chakra energies raises our own consciousness.

Connection with our higher power, universal consciousness, "God" source help transmute negative thoughts into positive. Fear of our fate become desired opportunities.

Everyone should seek spiritual enlightenment. The world around an enlightened person is affected in wonderful ways. Our soul within will become a beautiful light to others.

Healing the crown chakra:

When I am healing the crown chakra I see how we think of ourselves or how we think others think of us. I removed non-beneficial thoughts images from our crown chakra and clear it. I place positive words into our crown chakra and then angelically pour violet into it. This will help us connect with the universal energy as well as help us think positively about our self and others.

"Our thoughts truly do create our experiences" "Think positively always".
